Learning Opportunities for clients at RAISE
Leeds City Council have awarded St Anne’s nearly £100k to provide Personal Development and Community Learning courses at RAISE in Leeds.
RAISE is a day service offering advice and support to individuals who are homeless, vulnerably housed and/or with mental health and substance use issues. The service offers basic services such as showers, laundry, safe mail address, housing or benefit advice and a timetable of groups and education classes to support people back into training or employment. The centre also offers Voicemail4All to keep people in touch with family, friends and workers.
The funds will be used to provide classes in additional literacy, numeracy and life skills classes. These will run from 23rd August 2011 and the date for completion of the contract is 31st July 2012. Well done to Ann Sunter, Isobel Worswick and her team for their achievement.
