ROOM TO SPARE?

Could you take a person with a learning disability or a mental health problem to live with you as part of your family? Over 40 people in Leeds, who have been recruited and trained by St. Anne's Community Carers Scheme, are willing to.

People from all walks of life - single people, couples, and families of all ages and ethnic backgrounds - have elected to offer a long term home to a person with a learning disability or a mental health problem who has lost touch with, or can no longer be cared for by, their own family. In return for offering this long term security they are paid around £200 per week and provided with regular breaks. Carers find they gain great personal satisfaction from helping people lead fuller and happier lives.

Training and ongoing support are provided.
For further information contact the Community Carers Scheme at Head Office.
Carers are needed from all parts of the Leeds Metropolitan area.
