Investor In People Commitment St Anne's Community services has been an accredited Investor in People since 1997. Since then we have been reviewed five times, most recently in June 2004. Being an Investor in People means that St Anne's takes staff development very seriously and builds staff training and development into how we run our services and into our business planning. From the latest review In the June 2004 review report our Assessor said he was very impressed with us. The first line in the Findings section of his report reads " It was difficult not to be impressed by St Anne's; it is an exceptional organisation." He recognises in his report that we are doing a lot of things well as an organisation . For example, he mentions that the St Anne's is "keen to promote a culture of greater involvement", and he liked how we turn our core principles, detailed in the Corporate Plan, into practice at service level. He also recognised that our staff are clearly focused on providing a quality service provision, and that St Anne's is actively engaged in trying to improve upon this already high standard. He talks about how this is all supported through briefings, team meetings, supervisions and the training programme. He was particularly impressed with our Learning and Development Team, of whom he says "the nature of their support to help staff through their NVQ programme was absolutely first rate and, on a national scale, must rate amongst one of the most successful in the country."
