Catherine Wood nominated the management and nursing and support team for a Top Team award at Oxfield Court Nursing Homes in Huddersfield. I am delighted to let you now that this nomination has been accepted by SMT.
This is in recognition of your work regarding the implementation and ongoing management of the Gold Standards Framework. We have been informed that you have also been invited to present the work at a regional conference on end of life care which is a real achievement. Catherine comments on the fact that you have been regularly recognised for excellent practice by other stakeholders – district nurses, Kirkwood Hospice and physio’s etc who visit the clients who reside at Oxfield Court.
Not only that but we know that you have been tenacious in working through complex issues re MCA and DOLs and have been proactive in a number of complex cases working with the PBS team and the Best Interests team in Kirklees to find least restrictive solutions to complex issues. This is a great example of team working.
It is clear that you have clients at the centre of all you do. You have shown an ability to work well as a team when under pressure and have been keen and motivated to raise standards regarding infection control procedures.
We are therefore really happy to be able to award you a much deserved Top Team award and to thank you for all you have achieved and the invaluable work you all do
