To promote Dignity Action Day here are some of the events that took place in February 2015

St Albans, Gateshead – Sunday 1 February 2015

Clients from St Albans in Gateshead are baking some cakes and then then visiting their families to present them as a gift for Dignity Day.

Alcohol Services – Monday 2 February 2015

From 12.30pm onwards Dignity Day celebration.We will be unveiling of St Anne’s Alcohol Services’ ‘Dignity Staircase’ having a Dignity Celebration Lunch and a Dignity Day Challenge.

 

Durham Services – Monday 2 February 2015

 

Durham services are holding an event called Peoples Voice, which will take place on Monday 2 February at 11.30am – 2.30pm at Parkside Community Centre in Seaham.Their will activities, buffet and a disco.

HeadOffice – Monday 2 February 2015

From 10.30am onwards Head Office are having a Dignity – Tea.Staff will be sampling different types of flavoured teas and have the opportunity to leave a message what dignity means to them.

Daleholme, Settle – Tuesday 3 February 2015

Daleholme will be holding a Digni-tea plus Digni-tree get together Tuesday 3 February at 2.00pm. Clients and visitors will get the chance to write on a leaf what they think dignity is and place on a tree, then it will be displayed on the wall and everyone can enjoy a nice cuppa and piece of cake.

Benedicts, Wetherby – Wednesday 4 February 2015

From 2pm onwards Benedicts are having a ‘sing a long’ afternoon with Barleyfields ladies choir and enjoying a cream tea afterwards all friends and families are welcome.

RAISE and Holdforth Court, Leeds– Wednesday 4 February 2015

On 4 February 2015 between 1pm and 3pm in the canteen area of RAISE.

Based on the success of last years event we intend to cater for approximately 80+ people. All the projects based at RAISE will be involved in the event, as well a food, which is always very welcome, there will be lots of activities, all of which will be centred around ‘Dignity and Respect’.

It’s an excellent opportunity for all of the services at RAISE to work in partnership to put on an event for our respective clients.

Temple Road, Dewsbury – Thursday 5 February 2015

At 6pm clients from Temple Road are having a homemade curry and activities such as games, music from the 70’s/80’s and a memory box (toys from 1950’s to 1960’s).

 

 

Wakefield Mental Health Services – Friday 6 February 2015

At a client’s meeting at Wakefield’s Grove house on the topic of Dignity Action Day; clients in Wakefield and our other site in Knottingley have chosen to participate in a sponsored walk on Friday 6th February 2015 at Newmillerdam in Wakefield, in order to raise funds and gain an awareness of Wakefield Hospice and the work they do. A meeting was arranged with the fund raiser from the Hospice in order for clients and staff to receive sponsorship forms. Clients will be visiting the Hospice after the event to deliver raised funds! So if you are approached by someone waving a sponsorship form, please give generously!

Lyndhurst Grove, Gateshead – Saturday 7 February 2015 & 20 February 2015

On Saturday 7 February we are celebrating dignity day with a a digni-teahavingdiscussions with the clients about dignity and respect with-in the community.

On Friday 20 February we have the Community Police Officer coming in to visit the 6 clients who live atLyndhurst Grove, this is so the clients are aware of the role of the police with-in their local community, how they can offer support to the clients and advise on safety and ensuring their home and possessions are secure.

Newhaven, Boroughbridge – Saturday 7 February 2015

Newhaven will be having a Digni-tea Family Day event on Saturday 7 February at 10am.We will be putting up inspirational and informational posters and doing some interactive activities

The Crescent, Green Hammerton – Saturday 7 February 2015

The Crescent will be having a Digni-tea Family Day event on Saturday 7 February at 2pm.We will be putting up inspirational and informational posters and doing some interactive activities.

Fernlea, Fox View and Smithies, Kirklees
