Pathways is a dormer bungalow on the outskirts of the historic city of Ripon. The home accommodated five adults with learning disabilities. The service is Supported Living with 24/7 staff support. Tenants are supported according to their individual needs and aspirations. The home is staffed throughout the day in accordance to the tenants needs for house coverage. From 11pm one staff member sleeps at the property and there is additional cover if required on a shared call out basis with the adjoining property which is a Residential Service.
Tenants are supported with their daily living skills, promoting their independence, any money/budgeting support they may individually require, support if required to make/attend appointments, support to make and maintain friendships etc.
Aims and Objectives of the Service
The aims and objectives of the home are to provide accommodation which enables tenants to feel safe and valued as individuals with different needs and abilities. A place where people can live and be supported to grow as individuals, learn new experiences, learn new skills and take informed risks to enrich their lives with the safety of staff support
What does the Service offer
The service offers individualised care packages to all tenants. Each tenant has a support plan in place which is about them as an individual and is written in conjunction with them, a plan of their individualised support needs, aspirations and relevant additional information within their package of support to meet their needs and service expectations or requirements as set by North Yorkshire County Council.
