We have finished our recent recruitment campaign of volunteers. Please visit our website again in March 2013 when we will next be looking to recruit volunteers.
At St. Anne’s, we are committed to making a difference and we believe our volunteers play a valuable part in helping us to achieve this goal.
Role of a volunteer
We have several different volunteering roles across Yorkshire and Humberside. This can include going out in the community with clients and much more. Volunteers support clients to develop the skills necessary to undertake a meaningful and active role in the community. Activities are aimed at reducing isolation, building confidence and self-esteem, promoting choice, independence, opportunity, and inclusion.
What we offer volunteers
Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience on a personal level. It can also offer:
- A chance to use and develop your own skills and experience.
- Access to initial and ongoing training.
- An opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills.
- Enhanced job opportunities.
Volunteers are valued members of our services and are offered ongoing support and regular supervision and also have access to our in-house training opportunities.
