Our aim is to recruit carers who can offer a permanent home to an adult with learning disabilities. This used to be called adult placement and is now called Shared Lives.
Carers find they get a great deal of personal satisfaction from helping people lead fuller and happier lives, through offering:
- a room in their home
- all meals
- any care and support that is required
- full involvement in their family and social life
In return for this carers receive:
- over £300 per week tax free
- regular breaks
- ongoing training and support
We have a wide range of carers from all parts of Leeds, with a variety of skills and backgrounds including: families with children; single people of all ages; single sex couples; couples whose children have grown up; those from BME communities, and we are always on the lookout for more.
