They should attend the Positive Behaviour Support Theory day as a best practice element of their development, normally in the same 12 month period they train for the practical skills techniques.

- The Law surrounding staff duty of care and the use of interventions as a last resort.
- Risk analysis and management.
- National Minimum Standards.
- Policy and procedure.
- Post incident support including reporting and recording.
- MCA and DOLS.
- Safeguarding.
