St Anne’s and Yew Tree theatre Company have worked on many projects together this unique and specialist course introduces leadership teams and frontline staff to the strategies that enable them to manage better, difficult situations faced at work avoiding the use of physical interventions
Using a blend of forum theatre and experiential learning delegates will, in four core sessions, be shown a range of situations that they may face at work these include care situations where sexualised behaviours or threats, intimidation and assaults (both verbal, emotional and physical) may occur.
- Delegates will be able to discuss, feedback and experiment with different styles of managing difficult situations.
- Have increased confidence, communication and assertiveness skills in a safe environment, using de-escalation techniques and interpersonal skills.
- Have raised awareness applied through the practical demonstrations and discussion regarding risk assessing violence at work and personal safety.

Delegates will not be expected to role play. St Anne’s has developed two levels of facilitation level one for front line staff and level two for leadership teams.
