Our Resource Centre took part in the White Ribbon Campaign.
This took place at the service user forum, where the group made and wore white ribbons for the event. The group discussed how the campaign is to encourage men to pledge not to commit, condone or remain silent on the issue of domestic violence against women. It was also explained that Leeds was the first city in England to gain White Ribbon Status back in 2010.
Staff pointed out the domestic violence information that is displayed in the Centre to the women and men taking part in the group, and also explained that there is a perpetrators helpline of domestic violence if anyone requires support.
