For the first time St Anne’s Community Services took part in Leeds Pride 2017
Having St Anne’s represented in the official parade was an incredible moment for the development of our support for the LGBT Community as an organisation.
The parade was attended by over 40,000 people and St Anne’s had a massive engagement from people around the region.
Eleanor Broadbent, Equality, Diversity and Client Involvement officer said “I was so pleased to have St Anne’s represented and visible in this important community event alongside other health and social care providers. We’re an employer of many LGBT people and Allies – and we have a diversity of clients who feel at home in the LGBT community too. We won’t tolerate discrimination of prejudice towards people because of their sexual orientation or gender identity and we have to put our words in to action – Pride helps us to do that”
