Earlier this week a very special delivery was made to our Head Office, ahead of our Art Show for the people that we support.
Area Manager Edita Paliulionyte carefully transported the piece of work ‘Tree of Inclusion’ which has been kindly donated by our service users from Durham in the North East to us here in Leeds. The tree now sits proudly in our reception area and is being enjoyed by staff and our visitors who can’t help but stop by to admire it.
Six clients from our Marwood Park service worked together to create this beautiful tree structure, made from paper materials and colourful card with paint and stencil printing on each of the many leaves. The tree stands in a study rectangle base with hand print leaves bordering its roots. The tree represents the group of people who are being supported to live independently in the service and the things that are important to them.
We are grateful to the people living at Marwood Park and their dedicated Support Workers for sharing this beautiful project with us. Some of the people we support have complex health needs and unique challenges with their behaviour, which makes the dedication and team work behind this art project all the more special and impressive. Next time that you’re at our Head Office in Leeds please stop by the tree to read its messages. We think it represents our values of Person Centred, Quality, Caring, Dignity & Respect perfectly.
