St Anne’s Community Services have been providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities in Kirklees for the last twenty five years. We have a range of services which reflect the needs of the people we support; these include Respite, Residential and Nursing services.
To celebrate this we are holding a 25th Anniversary Jubilee event at Oxfield Court Day Centre, Huddersfield on Sunday 8th July 2018. The event will be open to the people we have supported over the years, their friends and families, carers and other professionals.
This is a way of acknowledging just how far some of the people with learning disabilities we support have come in that time, it’s hard to believe that in 1993 the original people that moved to services provided by St Anne’s.
The intervening years have seen an unprecedented period of change for people with learning disabilities in terms of the opportunities available, as well as increased integration and the chance to lead a fulfilling life with the same rights and expectations as anyone else.
We are tremendously proud of our reputation for quality care and we believe it’s important to celebrate our achievements and look to the future.
