Gerard Wainwright (Registered Manager) from Heatherstones, Halifax, along with Rebecca Hague, (Lead Nurse CCG) and Kayley Cookson (Occupational Therapist) attend the Clinical Commissioning Group’s Annual General Meeting on 18 July 2019 at The Shay Stadium in Halifax.
They attended the event to promote the sensory room at Heatherstones, which was completed with money awarded through NHS Transforming Care.

To illustrate we demonstrated a range of sensory experiences for people to participate in exploring taste, smell, touch, sight and sound and how we can use the senses to engage with people we support who don’t communicate through speech.
The event was attended by a number of other organisations including the National Autistic Society, Advocacy services, Citizens Advice and examples of Calderdale’s Joint Wellbeing Strategy.
