Jon invited some of his friends and colleagues from his work with the S.E.V.E.N including Natalie Moran and Lyndsay Swales as well as the staff and clients at Belle Vue and Hartwell Road.
Jon really enjoys quiz and bingo nights, so he wanted his party to be like the regular quiz at Belle Vue Road. But in honour of the big day the quiz was specialized: a James Bond theme, which are Jon’s favourite movies of all time. There was a nice buffet that everyone enjoyed and a spectacular handmade birthday cake that Jon was wowed by! Jon says:
”I enjoyed my birthday very much. I was pleased with all the people who came as I got loads of presents. Everybody said how nice the party was. All the food was nice, and I enjoyed the quiz and the bingo. The birthday cake was lovely and delicious. It looked extra nice with all the decorations in the lounge and we got to play balloon football, everyone seemed to enjoy it. I have still got my presents, as I haven’t eaten all of them yet. Everybody I talked to told me they were enjoying the party. It felt nice to be 60 and to start a new decade, because now I can start with my New Year’s resolutions anew as in my 50s, I kept making them and breaking them. I would like to thank everyone else who gave me presents, I would like to thank Wendy and her daughter in law for making the cake, I would like to thank Azra for coming and for everyone that bought me a gift. Thank you to everyone who participated in the balloon football. I am now looking forward to the next 40 years of my life and there will be a very special birthday party in 2059 and everyone will be invited. Thank you to Sarah and Emma for inventing the quiz questions and all the food preparation, thanks to Bernadeta for pouring me my drinks’‘.
Jon said that he was also honoured by the CEO Azra Kirkby attending his party.
One of the guests Chris said:
”It was an excellent time and we all had a nice buffet and I look forward to Jon’s 70th. I wish a very happy birthday to Jon. Good time was had by all.’
