Homelessness
Support to homeless people through drop-in Resource Centre, hostel accommodation and outreach
St. Anne's Resource Centre, based in the centre of Leeds, provides an open-door facility for homeless people in Leeds. Operating a drop-in policy, information and practical support is available from the Resource Centre's trained staff. Homeless clients may be guided to contact other agencies if this is appropriate.
Single homeless men who require immediate assistance with accommodation can access one of our two hostels - Holdforth Court in Leeds can accommodate 36 men and Bevin Court in Sheffield can accommodate 54 men. Both services undertake a needs assessment with service users and seek to find appropriate accommodation and longer term move on accommodation. Bevin Court has 12 move-on flats and is able to provide ongoing support for 12 men once they have moved on in to their own accommodation in the community. Also in Sheffield the Homeless Action Programme Outreach Team work with people who are street homeless to help them re-settle and provides ongoing support to enable them to settle and sustain their new tenancy.
