Michael lives in Roundhay with his wife and two teenage children. Following university Michael secured a place on the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme and spent 12 years working for the NHS in London and then Leeds.  After completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) he moved into consulting and has been a Partner at KPMG in Leeds since 2016 where he leads the Health Team.  Much of Michael’s client work is focused on HR transformation, workforce transformation, and the future of work.  Outside of work Michael is a keen cyclist and supporter of Leeds United and has been a Trustee of Age UK Leeds since 2019, he is also a visiting lecturer at University College London.  Michael is strong advocate for reducing inequality and promoting independence
