Mark Turnbull
Mark is a Head of Service in Leeds City Council’s Legal Department and has spent most of his career as a local government solicitor. He advises on data protection, FOI, IP and Tech law, and has an LLM in Cyber Law. Local government finance, equalities, and general public law are also Mark’s areas of expertise, having a Law Society Diploma in Local Government Law and Practice.
Mark has extensive experience of being a Trustee and has a long-term commitment to social housing having been the Chair of the West Yorkshire Housing Association, and then a board member of Connect Housing for nine years. Mark was also a Trustee of Lawyers in Local Government Ltd for three years and is the local government director on the board of the Leeds Law Society. Mark is committed to using his knowledge and experience to help continue and develop the much-needed services which St Anne’s provides to communities in Leeds and across the North of England.
Mark is Chair of the Remunerations & Nominations Committee. Mark was elected to the board in 2020.
